Stages in Belgium:
Via Mosana 1

Francis Gielen - Joseph Mertens

Association Belge des Amis de Saint-Jacques de Compostelle asbl.
This route runs from Maastricht or Aachen to Namur, along the Meuse valley. It is renowned for its river landscapes and charming villages.
Routes from Germany and the Netherlands converge in Liège. From Aachen, pilgrims pass through charming villages, including Clermont-sur-Berwinne, before entering Liège via the Maghin bridge.
The Maastricht route also joins the Aachen route at Jupille, just before Liège.
After crossing the city, pilgrims head for Huy and Andenne, where they can visit two interesting collegiate churches. The route takes them over the hills of the Meuse River in Liège, to the heights above, and offers a wonderful view of the Meuse valley.
