It has become a tradition for the Tasmanian association The Way to St James Cygnet to organise a weekend walk along its St James Way... in the middle of summer!
Yes, we are ‘down under’ and while we spend Christmas wrapped up warm, our Australian friends are lounging on their beaches...
Our association invites its members to join in the event, either individually or in groups. What do you need to do?
Walk at least 30 km over the two days of the weekend of 10 and 11 January and send a few photos to the Tasmanian association's Facebook page.
Throughout December, you will receive a complete calendar of walks proposed by the association. Please note that there will be an opportunity on the Via Tenera on Saturday 10th and a walk with a local TV report on the Via Mosana 2 on Sunday 11th January.
First meeting with the association
meeting in Tournai with Compostelle du Nord on Saturday 10 January
And for a first step, we suggest the monthly walk organised by our neighbours at Compostelle du Nord in January, with the collaboration of our trail marker Michel, who will be one of the guides. This walk will allow you to discover the surroundings of Tournai and the Via Scaldea on Saturday 10 January. Meet at 9.15 am in the car park, 1 rue de chantier, 7500 Tournai.

Second meeting with the association
in Namur on Sunday 11 January
You can join the association on Sunday 11 January in Namur for your second stage.
Meet at 9:45 a.m. at Namur station for a departure at 10:00 a.m. sharp.
We will walk along the Via Mosana 2 to Lustin, from where we can return to Namur by train. (Trains at 3:31 p.m., 4:31 p.m., 4:55 p.m. and 5:31 p.m.).
Registration is required with Jean-Louis Lieutenant before 8 January
